Our Corporate Plan
It would be normal practice for a local authority to prepare a Corporate Plan for a three
or four year period. But these are not normal times for South Shropshire District
Council.
The context of this Corporate Plan is that, on 1st April 2009, the Council will no longer
exist. On that date, Shropshire County Council and the five district/borough councils
in Shropshire will disband and a new unitary authority, delivering both district and
county services, will take their place.
For the reasons set out above, this final Corporate Plan (and associated Financial
Statement) for South Shropshire District Council covers the period only to 31st March
2009 .
