More about Objective 2

Objective 2 funding is available for nearly half of the West Midlands population and aims to renew industrial, urban and rural areas. It is split into three priority areas:
- Priority 1 - Developing a Diverse and Dynamic Business Base
- Priority 2 - Creating the Conditions for Employment Growth
- Priority 3 - Regenerating Communities
Objective 3 funding is delivered through the European Social Fund (ESF) and tackles long-term unemployment, helping young people and those at risk from not being able to find work, improving training, education and counselling for lifelong learning, encouraging entrepreneurship and adaptability in the workplace and promoting equal opportunities.
Objective 2 and Objective 3 funds are currently being spent on many projects around the West Midlands region.Check out the Government Office for the West Midlands for more information.
