European Structural Fund Programmes
European Structural Funds were set up by the European Commission to help reduce differences in living standards between the regions of the European Union. The West Midlands region was awarded over £575 million of Structural Funds money under the new 'Objective 2' Programme. Together with the money available under 'Objective 3' a total of £900 million was made available until 2006.
Government Office West Midlands runs the 'Objective 2' funds programme and is our partner in these projects, keeping us on track, making sure we spend the money on time and ensuring we meet our targets - see more information on their website:
