SSDC Employment Land Review
The purpose of the employment land study is to inform the emerging Local Development Framework (LDF) on allocating new land to ensure an ongoing balanced portfolio of employments sites in the district.
The study assesses the current supply of employment land (for B class users - offices, manufacturing and distribution) in South Shropshire, considers key and emerging sectors within the local economy and provides recommendations on potential future development locations. The report does not assess the land needs of other economic sectors such as retail or tourism.
The Employment Land Review has been based on Government, West Midlands Regional Assembly and County Council guidance. It has involved wide consultation with business groups, property agents, landowners and developers.
The full report is available on CD at a cost of £75. To obtain a copy please send a cheque made payable to South Shropshire District Council to Planning Policy Officer, SSDC, Stone House, Corve Street, Ludlow, SY8 1DG. A hard copy of the report is available for inspection, by appointment, at Stone House.
