Race Equality Scheme
The Race Equality Scheme aims to:
- explain the Council's values and principles relating to racial equality;
- identify the areas of activity requiring attention;
- set out a programme of action for fulfilling these duties; and
- provide clear benchmarks by which progress can be assessed.
The Race Equality Scheme complements and supports the Council's Corporate Equalities Policy by addressing barriers and disadvantage arising specifically from the impact of the Council's policies and activities on people from minority ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
