Lead Deliver £8.89 - £9.73/hr Assistant Deliver £5.74 - £5.87/hr dependant on experience and qualifications. TOPs is a national initiative which emphasises enjoyment and participation. It provided youngsters aged 7-11yrs with an introduction to sport and play.
We are looking to recruit parents, relatives, lunch time assistants, school support staff, sports club coaches, students or members of the general public to help with the coaching of these TOPs sessions that take place between 3.30pm and 4.30pm at Primary Schools throughout South Shropshire
Stability and quality are the key elements to the success of this programme. If we can train existing enthusiastic people in South Shropshire we will raise standards within our district, encourage participation and provide basic core skills through activity in a comfortable environment for children.
We will provide you with:
- Free Training Equipment/resources Payment
You will provide:
- An opportunity for children to progress socially, academically and actively by developing core skills through
- a fun activity session
With the help of training & resource cards to give you ideas on practices and games, you could be running one of the following sessions:-
- TOP Play Session (7-9yrs)
- TOP Sport Session (9-11yrs)
Gives children an introduction to basic movement, balance, coordination and play skills.
Develops skill in a range of sports including: -
Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, Table Tennis, Football, Basketball.Other sports currently being included: - Tri-Golf & Volleyball.

TOPs Induction Training
TOPs Induction Training is an inclusive 5-hour nationally recognised qualification, designed to introduce individuals to the TOPs scheme as well as giving advice on basic coaching techniques.
We do not charge for tutoring these courses, but future employment opportunities with the authority may only be possible following successful attendance on one of these courses.
