Best Value performance information
Best Value was introduced by The Government in 2000. It became a statutory function of local authorities, police, fire, health authorities etc, to review all services provided in terms of:
- Competition
- Challenge
- Comparison
- Consultation
It is hoped that this will ensure that council services are economic, efficient and effective and meet the need of the communities served by the council.
