Updating & Screening Assessment 2003
This report was produced by the Shropshire Air Quality Management Group as a follow up to the December 2000 Review and Assessment of Air Quality in Shropshire.
The report reviewed 7 air pollutants across the County and showed that for South Shropshire the vast majority of the district has levels of these air pollutants that are much better than government health based objectives.
There are a limited number of areas where exceedences of these objectives for fine particle pollution (PM10) and nitrogen dioxide were found to be possible and additional work took place in 2004 to investigate further. These areas included Church Stretton, Ludlow, areas close to busy roads and a small area of Clee Hill. The results were reported in the Detailed Assessment of March 2005
