Detailed Assessment March 2005
The Detailed Assessment March 2005 was undertaken because the Updating and Screening Assessment 2003 identified that there was a slight risk that particulate matter emissions may exceed air quality objectives:
- in Church Stretton, because of the burning of solid fuels for secondary heat (domestic burning and heating)
- on Clee Hill, because of the quarrying and roadstone coating activities .
The assessment concluded that the air quality objectives for particulate matter were not being exceeded, though in Church Stretton were higher than would have been anticipated.
