Regeneration Programmes
The Regeneration Programmes Management Team are currently delivering the
Together with a European Objective 2 Strategic Package 'Sustainable Market Towns in South Shropshire' and Rural Regeneration Zone Initiatives.
The Council acts as accountable body for significant regeneration activity and increasingly this is delivered through programmes or packages.
The Council bids for funding having developed project ideas that meet eligibility criteria. If successful the council works in partnership to deliver projects and schemes.
Current schemes include:
- £6.5m programme for Craven Arms including redevelopment at the Auction Yard, Environmental Enhancements, Long Lane Infrastructure, Business Support and Community Chest.
- Rural Regeneration Zone projects include:- Community Recycling Scheme, Sustainable Tourism Development, Eco Business Park and Park & Ride.
