E-Governement
South Shropshire District Council's overall vision, as set out in the Community Strategy, is:
'to ensure a better quality of life for everyone in South Shropshire which produces inclusive, prosperous and healthy communities, now and for generations to come'
and the Council recognises that the implementation of the e-government programme had a key role to play in helping the Council, and its partners, to achieve this vision.
The authority is also committed to the vision statement adopted for e-government in Shropshire.
'Citizens will be able to transact any business pertaining to any public service within the County, irrespective of the service providers or agency involved, through numerous contact points throughout the county or by electronic means.
The e-government programme finished with the publication of the IEG-6 statement.
