Craven Arms Area Partnership

Craven Arms Area Partnership came together in 2000 as a forum for agencies and organisations working in Craven Arms to discuss their activities, share ideas and consider joint working where appropriate.

When the Market Towns Initiative Programme was announced, the Craven Arms Area Partnership was identified as the body that could deliver the programme at a local level, with support and assistance from South Shropshire District Council.

The Partnership successfully delivered the MTI and continues delivering the Succession Strategy today.

The Vision

To raise the image and profile of Craven Arms and surrounding parishes, within the district of South Shropshire, as an attractive location in which to live, work and visit, so as to improve the well being of people across the area of benefit, in the minds of:

  • Its own communities
  • The parishes it serves
  • To potential visitors to the area
  • To the business Sector

Craven Arms Area

The area covered by the Partnership stretches from Bucknell on the borders with Powys, to Abdon & Heath close to the border with Bridgnorth District, and includes all the parishes concentrated around Craven Arms.
