Grants for Adaptations
This page covers Disabled Facilities Grants in the home.
For Disability Access Grants (non domestic) see:-

For other housing disrepair/harassment issues see:-
- Private Sector Renewal and Assistance
Should you, or someone you know, be in need of aids or adaptations in their home, such as a stairlift or level access shower, up to 100% of the cost may be available from South Shropshire District Council.
In order to establish which aids or adaptations might be recommended in any case, an assessment will need to be carried out by an Occupational Therapist from Shropshire County Council:-
Tel: 0845 6789011
Address: Community Services, The Gateway, Auction Yard, Craven Arms SY7 9QJ
Once an assessment has been carried out, any recommendation will be referred to this Council's Housing Officer (tel. 01584 813372), who will be able to advise what might be available by way of assistance.
Even if you have to pay the full cost, there may be other ways of assisting you in making your contribution.
