Home Energy Efficiency
The Council is required to implement its strategy to bring about an improvement in energy efficiency in domestic dwellings built before 1996 and provide, on an annual basis, an update to Central Government on progress. In addition, action to reduce fuel poverty is a significant part of activity on energy efficiency.
Although the Council has a number of partners in this regard, energy efficiency advice and details of current grants and offers is contracted to be provided to the public by the :-

For those households not qualifying for the Governments Warm Front Scheme, those on low incomes may be eligible for the Council's Energy Efficiency Grant.
