Strategic Housing Authority
The Council is the Strategic Housing Authority for the District and has a statutory duty to assess local housing need across all tenures. The Council acts as an enabler in partnership with all of the Housing Associations operating in the District.
South Shropshire Housing Association
The Council has transferred its housing stock to South Shropshire Housing Association. The Association carries out homelessness work on behalf of the Council and is the major, locally based, Housing Association providing a professional and caring service.
