What are the Main Exemptions?
Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives people the right to request information (subject to a number of exemptions) from public authorities, including South Shropshire District Council. The main exemptions are:
Personal Information
The right to access your own personal information is covered by the Data Protection Scheme which also safeguards against other people having access to your information.
Environmental Information
Information relating to the environment is available under the Environmental Information Regulations
Confidential Information
Confidential or commercially sensitive information.
Readily Available Information
Information which is readily available by another means or which we intend to publish in the future.
Non Recorded Form Information
Information we do not have in a recorded form.
