Data Protection
Data protection is about protecting personal information from improper use and gives legal rights to living individuals (data subjects) in respect of personal data held about them.
Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives people the right to request information (subject to a number of exemptions) from public authorities.
