Commercial waste and recycling
South Shropshire District Council does not arrange commercial waste collections.
Producers of commercial waste must arrange commercial waste contracts provided by Registered Waste Carriers. Details may be found in the yellow pages.
Written descriptions of your waste must be kept by law for two years, when you transfer it to a Registered Waste Carrier. All such Waste Carriers will be able to show you a certificate to prove they are legal. Check with your waste contractor that they are legitimate.
For small businesses in South Shropshire generating only a little waste, the same Duty of Care applies.
Commercial waste must not be presented in black sacks for collection by domestic refuse collection vehicles in South Shropshire.
