Covert Surveillance Code of Practice
The use of Covert Human Intelligence Sources, and the interception of communications Code of Practice.The Authority is allowed and required to carry out investigations into possible criminal activities across a range of areas. Such an investigation into possible criminal activities may require covert surveillance, the use of covert human intelligence sources, or the interception of communications to obtain evidence.
All such activity must be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
