Pollution control - Water Pollution
Pollution of river streams and underground water is the responsibility of the Environment Agency. Should a water pollution incident be witnessed this can be reported to the Environment Agency on 0800 807060 (24 hours).
Within South Shropshire water pollution is commonly caused by faulty drainage systems. Owners of septic tanks and private drainage systems should ensure that their systems are properly maintained and emptied regularly.
