South Shropshire Local Plan
South Shropshire Local Plan 2004-2011
The South Shropshire Local Plan 2004-2011 prepared by the District Council was adopted on the 8th. April 2005. The Plan is a public document that sets out the policies which will be used (together with other material considerations) in determining planning applications and other consents. It also identifies where new buildings and other proposals are likely to be acceptable.
The Written Statement (the text) is divided into 2 parts; part 1 policies which apply to the whole District and part 2 policies which apply to settlements.
With effect from 31st March 2008, the policies of South Shropshire District Council have either been saved or expired. A list of saved and expired policies is available on the PDF file below.
Supplementary Planning Guidance gives more detailed advice on how some of the policies are to be implemented.
An electronic version of the South Shropshire Local Plan including the proposals map is now available on the National Planning Portal.
