Committees

Full Council

Councillors will meet as the Council about six times during the year. The council is responsible for setting the budget, the level of Council Tax, approving all new policies and changes to the old ones.

Councillors are also appointed to serve on a wide range of Policy Panels and Committees of the Council and, possibly, to represent the Council on other outside bodies.

The Council's Constitution

This document details all of the procedures governing the way the Council works. It includes the contract and financial procedures and the decision making arrangements which apply to the Council's Executive and Regulatory Committees and its Policy Panels. It also documents decisions which are delegated to Officers.
